Six Senses Spa opens at Hotel Missoni Kuwait
Missoni colour meets Six Senses “Slow Life” philosophy in the Middle East’s new five star designer hotel. Early Summer 2011 a new Six Senses Spa will open in the Hotel Missoni in Kuwait.
Treatments inspired by Arabic traditions
The Six Senses Spa on the second floor will have 13 treatment rooms, including two hammams, separate areas for men and ladies, a bridal room including salon and pedicure and manicure areas. The 1,500-square metre spa will also house a fitness centre with a mixed and ladies-only gym, yoga studio, experience shower, sauna, steam rooms and luxurious relaxation areas
As well as Six Senses signature treatments and traditional Asian Therapies, the spa menu at the Missoni will offer locally inspired treatments using organic ingredients such as dates, olives and Arabic spices. Activities such as yoga, Pilates and meditation will be available privately, as well as in group sessions.
Natural materials and bold colour
The design of the Spa is true to the Six Senses’ signature style of natural fabrics and materials. Contemporary to the core but with a nod to Arabic art it provides a luxury, relaxing environment and blends seamlessly with the hotel’s sumptuous public spaces where rich golds, mosaics and textures are punctuated with unmistakable Missoni stripes, zig-zags and bold colours. The hotel’s interior design was personally overseen by Rosita Missoni.
The Six Senses Spa will be available to hotel guests and there will also be a membership scheme. Members of the Six Senses Spa Worldwide are entitled to exclusive privileges in all Six Senses membership Spas.
