You don't like the Apple watch design ? You want to pimp your favorite watch with some new technology ? Good news, Montblanc launched its first Smart Strap, a technological accessory created to be compatible with most handheld watches. As sophisticated as a Montblanc pen, the strap turns a mechanical watch into a connected device that can receive notifications (calls, e-mails, social networks...), monitor your health but also facilitate your payments !
Embedded on the strap, on the other side of the watch's dial (on your wrist), the screen is protected by IP68 waterproof capabilities and is also equipped with NFC and Bluetooth connections. You can also use it to pay at any shop accepting the Montblanc Pay mobile payload contactless platform. Moreover, you're able to digitize up to 5 credit cards in a dedicated application ! Available from August 2018, the strap's price starts at 456 dollars. Enjoy !
