Slav Reveries: a taste of the Roaring Twenties

A name to conjure with on this magic journey from Venice to Vienna, from Cracow to Prague via Warsaw, the legendary Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express recreates the atmosphere of the Roaring
Twenties in a single journey. On the itinerary are stays in some of the most magnificent hotels,
city visits and, naturally all the charm and elegance of the blue train as it was called by some of the greatest writers that were lucky enough to travel on it; Vladimir Nabokov, Guillaume Apollinaire and way out in front Agatha Christie.

At the heart of Central Europe

After leaving from the Santa Lucia station in Venice first stop is the Austrian capital Vienna, with time to visit the city and a one night stay. After a well-earned break, it's on across the Tatras Mountains, the largest mountain range in the region, before arriving in Slovakia.
The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express then continues on its way to Cracow, the highpoint of the
trip, to visit the Old City, the most beautiful palaces, churches and monuments and especially
the famous Salt Mines. Next stop Warsaw for a Chopin recital, not forgetting the rest of the
Polish capital's charms. Finally it is on to Malbork in the north of Poland and an exploration of
the fascinating fortified castle of the Teutonic Knights on the banks of the River Nogat before
returning to Prague where this magical journey finishes. The Belle Epoque? You were there.
