It is wood, yet it is stone. Brazil's fossilized “leaf wood” takes us back several million years in one bound. The crystallization process takes a mere 360 million years, the time it takes for the minerals, metals, calcium and phosphorous to descend to the depth of the sunken ancient trees and slowly replace the original material without altering its organic structure. At last, this wood, as brilliant as a precious rock, will be transformed into a stone of exceptional quality, with the richness of its colours never failing to astonish. From light brown, through anthracite to deepest black, each piece is truly unique. The pleasure to write with such a pen with its 18 carat gold nib is beyond words, as is the price of 2 500 €....
