Moscoupolis: Moscow as you have never seen it!
Of the cities in the world, Moscow has to be the one of greatest contrasts. A unique combination of construction and demolition, of greatness and tragedy, the city exposes itself through the eyes of 11 Russian artists. The exhibition runs from the 21st September to the 31st December at the now essential Espace Louis Vuitton.
A work in progress
Since the 1st September, the Espace Louis Vuitton has metamorphosed into an atelier. Here, seven of the eleven artists, will carry out their specific works. A touching soliloquy, at times uncompromising, of their original city. You can find there a jumble of works by Pavel Pepperstein, and his vast décor of glass, of metal and wood structures, the fresco of Alexeï Kallima, and the yurt of Tibet by Oleg Kulik.
Utopian Vision of the Future
Also on the program is the paintings of Valery Koshlyakov, the paper constructions of Stanislav Shuripa and the polystyrene sculptures of Kirill Chelushkin. The murals of Valery Chtak line the walls of the gangway not far from the photographs and urbanites in the metro of Moscow taken by Olga Chernysheva. A modern utopian vision or off-beat view on the remnants of the Russian capital, there is something for everyone at Moscoupolis.
