Alphena One: The portable yacht ...

Indeed, with a height of 8.50 m, Alphena One does not quite fit in your pocket, but her spindle-shaped design and her slender roof structure give us the idea of a more daily usage than our good old yacht anchored at Saint-Tropez... Alphena Yachts is indeed right 'on course': by inventing the Day-Yacht concept, the shipyard of the Morbihan region has created the first yacht-for-everyday. It would be a shame not to take advantage of that! A yacht wherever and whenever I want it!
A Day-Yacht is the ideal solution: because it is just not always convenient to take out a yacht for a short, spontaneous little coastal excursion; because to navigate around those lakes and streams that we especially enjoy, light sailing seems to make the most sense. And because we of course are entitled to give in to our whims even when no man-made lake can be seen on the horizon! We can't overlook commending Alphena Yachts for having achieved from, start to finish, this light boat, ultra top of the range, just as efficient in terms of piloting as well as design. Their secret? A hull signed Tanguy Le Bihan, which guarantees the helmsman and crew members the most exhilarating, immediate pleasure of great day-sailing, as well an extraordinary finish. Launched in May 2008.

Targeting responsible yachting

Even beyond its avant-garde and functional design, the Day-Yacht can claim to be a leader in environmental protection. In fact, as it is powered by an in-board engine-system, three 12-volt batteries recharged, when moored at a pontoon, or by a wind generator while anchored, guarantee autonomy and efficiency. As far as the deck is concerned, it has used an exotic FSC-certified wood (Forest Stewardship Council) guaranteeing its origin and socio-economic operations. Lastly, the internal fittings are mainly based on vegetal-fibre compound material. Making the bet that her brother, a loft-yacht of 40 inches, should complete Alphena Yachts responsible plans for this new yacht design.
The answer will be given in September 2009...
