Art Gallery: Art just a click away

After spending a good 21 years collecting art objects, while working in the humanitarian field, thanks to the Internet, Marc Laurenti has definitely found the perfect opportunity to combine his two passions. The result is the ArtGallery that intends to become the first virtual gallery in the world with a humanitarian objective. The combination of art, moral causes and money, this is indeed a first...

From futile art to useful art?

This idea is definitely original: combining the artistic streak of Internauts plus a need for a financial investment with a desire to helping others... Marc Laurenti has done just that, by uniting under his banner artists of international fame (Hans Hartung, Peter Klasen, Robert Combas at the head) and young talent waiting to be discovered. Now it is up to each one to invest, either in safe bets or in the "up-coming generation", with the certainty that a part of the sale proceeds (from 10% to 20%) will go to charitable organizations (Cœur de femmes, Action contre la faim...). A humano-commercial dimension which is part of the generalised awareness of social responsibility and which finally asks the question of whether useful art is possible. Now what's left? Proving that art can be futile...?

International network

From Naïve Art to Pop'art, from Cubism to New Realism, the ArtGallery does indeed have ambitious plans drawing on most of the major contemporary art trends. This is the ideal way to offer a broad exploratory journey in the History of Art and to cover the broadest range of tastes. And because, being an art dealer is not something you can just improvise, Marc Laurenti has played the card of his contacts with the most important international art galleries and collectors from all around the world.   The result: a large and eclectic offer which will most likely be appreciated by the 'enlightened amateur'  as well as by the well-informed art collector. Regarding form, it's a pity that the ergonomics is perhaps a bit « out-of-touch with our times» and the digital design leads a lot to be desired, nevertheless the artistic selection is worthwhile.  No doubt, ArtGallerywill prove to be a model for others.
