Alain Ducasse launched a "Haute-Couture" Restaurant in Mauritius island

True, we can no longer present Alain Ducasse, as one of our greatest French chefs, as since this past June, Prince Albert II de Monaco, by virtue of decree, has conferred Monegasque citizenship upon him. But hasn’t this master of culinary arts and the business world, always been a cosmopolitan man, with a passion for dishes from the four corners of the world? Just take the Spoondes Iles for example...
Better yet, let’s hear it in the artist’s own words: "Mauritian cuisine is the Creole cuisine of refined women who use market products and enhance quality with fresh and dried spices. I adore this tasty and genuine cuisine of market gardeners and fishermen. I find a bit of a Mediterranean atmosphere which is very important to me personally."

The cuisine of Spoon des Iles is comprised of multi-ethnic dishes that combine different cooking modes and lets each person, according to their mood at the time, to freely put together their own dish, by choosing from a very generous range of tastes and flavours, which can be associated in a whole slew of ways! Our mouths will really start watering for the "Tempura and steam Sum" and we will surely start dreaming as soon as we lay our eyes on the “Palmiste tomatoe/coco with Maurician seasoning’’, Moreover, we can accompany this great food with one of the 240 French and foreign wines on the wine list...
