The Four Seasons at Sharm El Sheikh: An Egyptian Oasis

"A hotel that surges from out of nowhere", is how the Director General describes the Four Seasons Resort that opened in May 2002 at Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt.  This arid and barren region, until very recent history, can boast of some 160 hotels today. The desert has been gradually transformed into this "trendy and modern" beach resort area, which granted may lack a bit of a more traditional soul. Here the Four Seasons Group successfully runs this welcomed oasis of calm that attracts tourists more than happy to be ‘sheltered’ from the hustle and bustle of Sharm.

An establishment adorned with local architecture

In the northern part of the Egyptian Sharm seaside resort, opposite the Tiran Island, this establishment is like no other. It extends along the coastal strip of the Red Sea on majestic limestone cliffs. Local architecture predominates here with a contemporary and luxurious touch.
Designed like a village, its individual Kasbahs are spread along a hill dotted with gardens in full blossom. Rooms, suites, two-bedroom apartments, a living room and kitchenette, villas with small swimming pools… all different tastes and needs are magnificently catered to!

Space and comfort, above all!

Like in all Four Seasons, space and comfort are the key buzz words here. Large marble bathrooms with double sinks and even separate bathtubs and showers. The pastel and sober colours of the furnishings harmonize well in the generously spacious hotel rooms. From large glass windows, the changing colours of the sea provides a magnificent spectacle that you will never grow tired of.
The apartments are ideally orientated to preserve intimacy, while also offering individual terraces or balconies.

A lush flower garden

Outside, gravel and winding lanes bordered by an abundance of well-maintained plants and flowers, will take you to the sea. For the laziest among you, take the little cable car, up 300-meters!
You should definitely try the tram at least once to enjoy the old-fashioned charm of this Montmartre-style funicular.

Service at your beckon, to satisfy your every whim

Although a bit small, the beach offers mats, tents and beach chairs, scattered over the different levels of the hill. In the surroundings, there are two giant heated swimming pools with generous forms, inviting all for a musical dip. The staff are present everywhere.
At meal time, you have a choice of five restaurants. Highly recommended, under the supervision of ItalianChef and Room Director, is the Il Frantoio restaurant.
As far as the breakfast fit for a pharaoh, it gives you all the energy you will need to spend an active and intense day.

A spa, Egyptian-style

Opening onto the sweet-smelling gardens, the Spa also has a heated swimming pool of generous proportions, a sauna and a hamam.
Designed like an Egyptian spa, it offers treatments and massages that reflect the spirits of the place. With its 12 open-air booths in an Oriental atmosphere, you have your choice of wrapping, aromatherapy, thalassotherapy and beauty treatments, for a wellness recharging of our batteries.
For those who adore diving or taking excursions, the Four Seasons is one stopover for your not-to-be-missed list!
