Kapten: at last an urban GPS!

Because, during our urban wanderings, we can not always systematically bring along with us our GPS, a FM reader and MP3 player, an audio-Guide and an emergency USB key, Kapsys launches Kapten, the top multi-function, the ultra-compact GPS with a vocal interface. The news has finally officially broken, the adventure seekers of the capitals finally have their compass!
Kapten! My Kapten!

Tokyo, Bangkok... In those cities where it has clearly not been judged necessary to indicate names and numbers on streets, you will come across this small, charming hotel, easy enough to reserve on the Internet, but finding it on arrival, is somewhat like searching for the Holy Grail. The result : left in the hands of taxi drivers without any scruples, always more than happy to propose a complete tour of the capital, including the highway, rather than the 200 metres for your destination, you regret your cheaply-priced map bought at the airport in a burst of exotic optimism. Back in Paris, ready for a carefree walk with your hair blowing in the wind, to visit the last landmark of the Costes Brothers, you curse at this intrusive GPS whose standalone time is so limited that it dies down a few meters after you have left, after merely indicated you should take the motorway….... Kapten! My Kapten: this is thus the never-ending complaint of lost and disabused urbanites. Courage Kapsys has heard you…  Underground passages, parks and the forbidden directions now are included in this 100% vocal urban GPS. Just say Saint-André des Arts, and you will be guided there... in music.

The city, another way...

As the cellular screens integrate each day additional pixels and tactile resources, so that the GPS endlessly improves its 3D vision, here is one who dares abandon the sacrosanct screen for the benefit of vocal commands, certainly fairly dehumanized but ever so efficient. 50 grams and 6 hours autonomy, this is the secret of this free hand capable of guiding us in a pedestrian mode (including public transportation to over 50 cities in all of France), by bike or by car, to synchronise via Bluetooth with the cell phone to permit us to be well equipped with music (MP3 4 Go/FM) before listening to one of the Audio Guides downloaded beforehand. The added value ? The possibility of "geotagging" our favourite spots (restos, hotels, bars...) to share them with the entire Kapsys community (at www.kapsys.com). You are sure to have gotten the message: this is ‘the way’ and the most modern way of travelling!
