Bristol goes green: a soft revolution in the making
A new wind is blowing at the elegant Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré and especially at the HotelLe Bristol Paris. Nothing ostentatious, as changes are discreet, and the special character of the place has been preserved: nevertheless a bold and vibrant spring-green-colour is turning up everywhere, on the mischievous Smart, on a line of luggage, brochures, and step-by-step in the hotel itself. Aesthetic, generous, lively and surprising, this sums up the new spirit at Bristol.
A palace that dates back to the 30s
This palace that dates back to the 1930s, member of the Leading Hotels of the World, was established in a magnificent 18th century palace. The wealth of period furniture, the exceptional collection of Gobelin and Lille tapestries, as well as works of master painters evoke the spirit of a private residence, with a rich past perpetuated by successive owners. This place has been carefully preserved, as all successive renovations and restorations have been made by the best French art craftsmen who have been able to maintain the French savoir-faire of art craftsmanship. Today, without loosing the original Bristol spirit, the image of this palace is gently changing, thanks to a new streak of modernity.
Colours, typography and coat of arms given new life
Nowadays the hotel can boast of its own coat of arms. The unicorns that were once pictured as kneeling, are now in movement, the ivy represents the famous garden and the chalice of fruit alludes to the pleasures of life. To integrate this change across the board, the graphic charter, the typography and colours had to be modified. All of these changes have been now successfully incorporated across the board. The Bristol has undergone a successful relooking in the vibrant and trendy colour of the symbol of renaissance and renewal—the colour green. A green in a potpourri of nuances – (spring green, summer green, fall green, black winter), that flirts with shrill notes such as orange or fuchsia that we find here and there in rooms or suites.
A line of leather products available soon
This vibrant colour is also the colour of the famous Smart, that the Bristol has made available for its clientele, on brochures, a product line and soon displayed on a range of leather products.
And finally, to make it clear to all that it is intimately and passionately integrated into Parisian life and culture, the brand will become Hôtel Le Bristol Paris. So very Parisian, so very chic !
