The legendary Megève establishment has come to the capital and has established itself right near the Champs-Elysées, replacing the former Rue Balzac, the Johnny Hallyday and Claude Bouillon’s restaurant. On the menu, a simple and refined cuisine, that is the ultimate in chicness and the entire universe of these Enfants Terribles that nourished the legend of Megève. Opened in the fall for your full enjoyment.
At last in Paris!
From Cocteau – whose film masterpiece inspired the name of this establishment - to Roger Vadim, from Fernandel to Brigitte Bardot, it is all these personalities – as well as others that instantly bring to mind the name of the restaurant at the Mont Blanc Hotel: Les Enfants Terribles. Reborn from its ashes last year under the impulse of Sibuet (Les Fermes de Marie, Le Lodge Park in Megève, La Cour des Loges in Lyon, Villa Marie in Ramatuelle) with Thierry Guinot in the kitchen, this restaurant has made news in the world of gourmet dining. The only hitch, Parisians had no other choice than to cross France to plunge back into the 1950s, Sibuet-style. Fortunately, this painful injustice is now only a remote memory. Les Enfants Terribles restaurant now offers a dining venue in the heart of the 8th district, offering, on this occasion, an impeccable deco signed by the young Nicolas Sibuet of 26 years of age. The secret behind this success is a more Parisian than Megéve atmosphere that blends in well with the vast fresco, very much an attribute to Delaunay and to Léger. Concerning the interior architecture side, between the vast glass roof for a lunch break, or the bar, intentionally cosy, Les Enfants Terribles adjusts spatial arrangements and atmospheres with generosity. The art of hospitality excels here ...
Throughout the seasons
No real heartfelt ambition nor desire to compete with starred chefs here : rather a simple but refined cuisine is opted for that does not leave out vegetables in season. Happy results : you will be pleasantly surprised by a sincere and ambitious fall menu in the hands of a young 32-year old Chef, who has learned the tricks of the trade from Michel Lentz at Hotel Royal (Evian), Marc Veyrat, as wellas Michel Del Burgo and the Pourcel Brothers.Young leeks, pot herb vinaigrette, beef fillet in "Enfants Terribles" style, Traditional veal rib with morels, perfectly browned free-range organic chicken, cooking broth with flower of salt or why not try the lamb rack roasted with thyme, a real broth, served with home-made purée?…: we definitely whet our appetite as we read the menu that draws on the best of regional products, all while leaving room for a selection of aperitifs and digestives served in the cosy atmosphere of the bar. Without a doubt, this address is really a must...!
