236 rooms in bungalows with upper levels, all painted in primitive colours. Choose from Club (overlooking lush landscaped gardens) or De-Luxe (overlooking the sea). Each have state-of-the-art amenities including air conditioning, flat-screen TV's, robes, slippers, freebie products, mini-bars, safes and superb maid service
Restaurants & Bars:
Under the expert direction of Sar Lat Fatim, Meilleur Ouvrier de Senegal, there are three restaurants and chef gives regular cookery classes. Christopher's overlooks the pool and the sea, serving incredible themed buffets at each service. Located on the first floor of the scuba-center is The Berimbau, offering international buffets at lunch and Brazilian steak-house accents by night. Locally caught fish and seafood (often by hotel guests) are features of Watling's. Three bars punctuate the resort: Verve Loungand Liquid to enjoy a glass of vintage champagne and a cigar. Azul with panormaic sea-views, where delicious gastro snacks are served all day and The Beacon and Zao to admire the fabulous sunset and party all night.

Visit the straw-market at Cockburn Town. Take part in a Gospel Mass. Take a sunset-sea-cruise and a trip to the blue lagoon. Power walking. Club Med Fitness classes and Water Aerobics. Basketball. Beach Volley-Ball and kayaking. Work out in the Fitness Room.
Spa:
Until the installation of the new spa the Wellness Centre has an extensive menu of massages, either in the cabines or in the airy seaside palapa.
Who goes?
Columbus is a “Luxury of the Extraordinary” resort for everyone which means that children of any age are welcome but there are no Mini or Baby Clubs with organised activities and programmes. Honeymooners, friends travelling together. Families taking the opportunity to spend quality time together.Club Med has spent $400 million renovating their properties. The Club is run brilliantly by Karim dos Santos the charismatic Head of Village and his enthusiastic team of GO's (Gentle Organisers).
