Premiere!
The principle could not be simpler: for 15 days, 10 teams are invited to compete successive duels on two pairs of identical boats chosen by draw.
A concept at the same time trivial and ambitious which shows a willingness to renew with the original spirit of the duel and clearly very exciting, in terms of sportsmanship. Obviously, those who favor technological combats and who thought they might pick up here the latest innovations in view of the America’s Cup might be a little put off, but here is an opportunity to observe the French team of K-Challenge and Team French Spirit whose performances were honorable but without any stroke of genius during the latest Louis Vuitton Pacific Series.
Duels under the sun?
Certainly nothing has really been set officially in terms of an agenda, but most probably the first races will be taking place in Nice, Hong Kong, Auckland, Newport ; other European cities have also displayed their interest. A very busy agenda for these regattas that comes as the counterpoint of Louis Vuitton Pacific Series organized in Auckland, New Zealand, last February and that will allow us to observe as a preview the leading contenders of the America’s.
