Cinquième Sens piques our senses
Smell, a gateway to memories
The smell of hot coffee and the sweet fragrance of pine, these smells envelop us and bring back long lost memories. Especially developed in infants who are capable of instinctively recognising their mothers, smell is something that deteriorates with years as our noses come in contact with an average of tenthousand smells. No less... It is up to us to build up our noses and to reconnect with the uses our ancestors had for them. To this end, rendezvous at Cinquième Sens in order to perfect our olfactory techniques and play perfumer.
I smell, therefore I am
In order to sharpen our sense of smell, Cinquième Sens is offering 4 complementary workshops ranging from initiation to fragrances to creation, core activity of this small French company that can boast of clients such as Chanel, Christian Dior or Ralph Lauren.
Stomping ground of any self-respecting "nose", the workshop L'Orgue du Parfumeur (Perfumer's Organ) is an initiatory journey into raw materials. There, you can put your sense of smell to the test and get acquainted with the olfactory pyramid; in short, you can discover olfaction, which is already an undeniably emotional journey. The boldest can make their way to the Atelier Création (Creation Workshop) to practice perfume composition, experiment with writing formulas and ultimately leave with 30mL of their own fragrance. Next is the AtelierParfums & Saveurs (Perfumes & Flavours Workshop) in which an entirely new discipline is presented: culinary perfumery. The idea? Testing your sensory profile, tasting natural substances and creating your own alimentary perfume. Finally, the Atelier Parfum,Reflet de votre Image (Perfume, a Reflection of your Image Workshop) invites everyone to think for 3 hours about their style, the connection between colours and perfumes in order to choose a perfume that matches your personality.
All in all, it is a fun, emotional and enlightening experience.
