Savile Row to be transformed into green pasture
A flock of sheep will descend on London's Savile Row to promote wool as the cloth of choice for bespoke luxury clothing. The campaign for wool, supported by it's patron His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, was launched earlier this year and will transform London's most prestigious tailoring location into a sheep field on Monday 11 October 2010.
"Savile Row Field Day", organised by the Saville Row Bespoke Association, Woolmark International, West Country woollen mill Fox Brothers and Dormeuil aims to increase the demand for wool, which has been declining recently in spite of its recognised natural qualities and characteristics. As the sheep graze, the visitors will be welcome to open house events and tours of the Row's most famous tailoring houses. It promises to be a wonderful and exciting day, so take your agenda and note October 11th.
