Maison Delisle: back to basics

It’s the quest of all designers: to be inspired by their elders in order to reinvent the classics and become a part of a long lineage of artists and artisans without imitating or reproducing. This esoteric and dynamic pursuit, this plunge into the traditional techniques, is preserved by few artists. The Delise creations designed by Nicolas Aubagnac are made with the finest and highest quality materials that elicit a strong sense of the past partnered with an equal subtlety that makes these pieces contemporary.

In creating the collection for Papyrus,Nicolas Aubagnac teamed up with J.M. Delisle. The duo manages to border both modernity and tradition, clearly exhibiting his talent and expertise in bronze work. Inspired by the plant world and recreating ancient notions of the totem, the Papyrus collection offers unique and authentic pieces. Made from gold or silver bronze, or antique green bronze medal, the Papyrus line from the maison Delisle will enhance every style of interior decoration.

The union of nature and bronze

Sculpted, cast, worked and chiseled with the greatest care, the bronze lends itself to a realist expression of the living natural world and emanates strength and power. The sublime Structure collection embodies this aesthetic by incorporating warm and vibrant décor, like this lamp that depicts branches of a tree, intertwined and cut with a sickle. The three linked branches are adorned with white cut glass, evoking an image of dawn and its purity. Beauty in its original state.
