The Taj Mahal in gold and diamonds

In order to pay tribute to the magnificent Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world, Monnaie de Paris and the house of Cartier joined their unique craftmanship to create an exceptional coin of one kilo of pure gold set with 68 diamonds. The creation reflects the harmony of the monument’s shape, the elegance of its architectural lines and the splendour of its decoration. This exceptional coin is produced in partnership with UNESCO.

Only 29 pieces will be produced and each coin is an artistic achievement, with the delicate engravings by the master engravers of  Monnaie de Paris and the final touch by Cartier’s jewellery workshop with the setting of the 68 diamonds on the dome of the monument. Through the ages India was a source of inspiration for Cartier, the ambassador of fine jewellery, and the house created many precious pieces for Maharadjas. The Taj Mahal masterpiece comes in a beautiful box by Goyard, famous trunk maker since 1853.

To be one of the first to put an option on this unique creation and therefore have a low number which is engraved in the coin you can contact Monnaie de Paris for further information and price indication.
