Alpine skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing don’t thrill you anymore? Why not try sled dog racing, glacier climbing or hiking on snowshoes. Colorado offers you no fewer than 26 ski resorts - starting from Denver, you will find Aspen/Snowmass, Breckenridge, Steamboat, Telluride, Keystone, Beaver Creek, Crested Butte and Vail. At Aspen/Snowmas, we particularly retain the Buttermilk Mountain ski area, famous for the 6 metres long Olympic Super-Pipe, which attracts snowboarders from around the world, or - for off-piste fans - the Highland Bowl, a slope with a drop of 600 meters… Fortunately escorted by a guide!

Among the abundant choice of ski of stations in Colorado, we also highlight Keystone with its average snow fall of almost 6 metres per year: at 2.835 meters of altitude the area welcomes ski fans from early November to mid-April. Or Crested Butte, a ski station hosting two high-level sporting events: the Subaru USD – an arcrobatic ski championship from 16 to 20 February 2011 – and the 15th edition of the Telemark Championship - from 17 to 20 March 2011 - attracting the world’s greatest skiers and more than 100 competitors.

In Vail, the ski season 2010/2011 starts on November 17th 2010 and ends on April 24th, 2011!
