Winter in Colorado
Did you know that "champagne" is the name given to the snow in Colorado, renowned for its lightness? At the top of Les Rocheuses you’ll find the most extensive ski area of the United States, but also the highest peaks, allowing a seven months ski season!
All sorts of snow fun
Alpine skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing don’t thrill you anymore? Why not try sled dog racing, glacier climbing or hiking on snowshoes. Colorado offers you no fewer than 26 ski resorts - starting from Denver, you will find Aspen/Snowmass, Breckenridge, Steamboat, Telluride, Keystone, Beaver Creek, Crested Butte and Vail. At Aspen/Snowmas, we particularly retain the Buttermilk Mountain ski area, famous for the 6 metres long Olympic Super-Pipe, which attracts snowboarders from around the world, or - for off-piste fans - the Highland Bowl, a slope with a drop of 600 meters… Fortunately escorted by a guide!
Keystone, Freestyle skiing and Telemark
Among the abundant choice of ski of stations in Colorado, we also highlight Keystone with its average snow fall of almost 6 metres per year: at 2.835 meters of altitude the area welcomes ski fans from early November to mid-April. Or Crested Butte, a ski station hosting two high-level sporting events: the Subaru USD – an arcrobatic ski championship from 16 to 20 February 2011 – and the 15th edition of the Telemark Championship - from 17 to 20 March 2011 - attracting the world’s greatest skiers and more than 100 competitors.
Vail and its luxury hotels

The extra: access to the luxurious Arrabelle Club, a private ski club to enjoy the perfect stress free ski holiday. Vail, is also the Four Seasons Resort Vail, wich will be the first establishment in Colorado of this hotel chain to open its doors in December 2010: 121 rooms and apartments with a full range of services and equipments, living up to the Four Seasons standard.
