The new InterContinental Montreal

Known for its views and ideal location, the InterContinental Montreal has nevertheless been given a complete makeover thanks to a $ 14 million investment. The hotel features a new Victorian bistro, a restaurant with southern accents, and cleverly improved comfort.

The Montreal InterContinental revamped

With its location at the entrance of old Montreal, just a few steps from the city centre, the InterContinental quietly provided good comfort and 4-star hospitality to its guests. Only it lacked the modern twist to excite us. A more sparkling cuisine, improved comfort and soft beds, a state-of- the-art fitness room ... It's all there now! After a festive reopening late 2009, the InterContinental Montreal has upgraded its standards and decorated its rooms and suites with designer furniture, art works and thick carpets. The rooms of the hotel bathe in rich warm tones, ideal after a long day of excursion in Montreal. Decorative walls with Fur, maple bark and white honeycomb panels, remind us that we are in the Canada. The LCD TV grew to 40 inches and the minibar became electronic. The perfect alliance of a rich historical heritage and fresh contemporary design.

A ray of sunshine...

First of all, there is the Absinthe Bar, baptized Sarah B., in tribute to Sarah Bernhardt, who gave a memorable performance in the historic Nordheimer building in Montreal. With its walnut flooring, fireplace mantles, murano chandeliers and velvet sofas, this 19th century decor distils an eclectic atmosphere between tapas and absinthe. The hotel also features a new restaurant, Osco, which means "bravo" in Occitan. Its huge hall was transformed into small warm rooms, some with alcoves, to restore intimacy. Your gastronomic experience will be filled with virgin olive oil, fresh market ingredients, freshly baked crusty baguette and privately imported wines. Warmth, elegance, mouth-watering flavors and simplicity are always on the menu in this new Montreal culinary oasis.
