Win a surrealist dinner at The Dali
The hotel needed a gastronomic stop "fewer stars" than the Yannick Alléno kitchens, but also to immortalise the crazy and ingenious mindset of this surrealist spirit. The Starck family has signed for the decoration; they came up with a decor of soft extravaganza to accommodate the playful gourmet restaurant of LeMeurice, soberly named The Dali. With many references to the artist’s extraordinary work: the swan chair evoking an original painting of Dalí where swans and tree trunks are reflected in the water forming elephant silhouettes, the chair with feet in the form of ladies shoes, designed by Dali himself and the lamp "Muletas" with its drawers, symbol of human consciousness, and the painting with the lobster on a phone. Highlight of The Dali restaurant? The immense dreamlike canvas of some 145 m2 drawn by the daughter of the designer, Ara Starck, in warm tones of ochre and Gold that will immediately transport you into this whimsical and enthralling universe.
"The beauty will be edible or will not be!"
With this unparalleled phrase, it looks like El Salvador Dali had already this Parisian retaurant in mind. Because, in this chic and playful universe, no doubt, the taste is mandatory! Between the Medallions of monkfish with an alga confiture, Fricassee of squid with espellette and quarters of artichokes, but also Goujonnettes of sole and sea food, steamed vegetables and Aloe Vera Pink Grapefruit salad, Yannick Alléno plays with flavours while respecting the freshness and lightness of the products. An excellent address.
