Freighter Cruising: Across the sea in 80 days

Forget about magnificent ships and streamline yachts and set sail around the world in 80 days on board a freighter. Just magical.
A veritable Tower of Babel

If you choose to holiday on board a cargo ship, expect adventure and a schedule that is deliciously vague. And for good reason – freighter timetables, just like its stopovers, can change from one day to the next, whilst the number of passengers on board is drastically reduced. Of course, you would have to get used to the idea of boarding in perhaps one of the slightly less accessible areas of the dock, but you would get your own cabin and you would be pampered like a truly distinguished guest, making this a wonderful opportunity to familiarise yourself with life on deck. You will truly not be able to resist this incredible floating Tower of Babel, that offers you the undreamed of chance to rub shoulders with an innumerable amount of nationalities throughout your 76 days at sea.

Complete cultural immersion

Your adventure will take you to a huge range of continents, while allowing you to remain in complete harmony with the sea. You will leave your scheduled departure of Tangier and join the Red Sea via the Suez Canal. Then you will sail to Aden and the Strait of Hormuz, with a stopover in the United Arab Emirates and continue onto Asia, via Singapore, Hong-Kong, Shanghai and Pusan. Crossing the sea until you reach the Panama Canal you will enter the ‘New World,’ taking in Houston, Miami, Savannah and Charleston. And last but not least, your ship will sail to the must-see New York before embarking on its voyage across the Atlantic. Once Gibraltar and its Pillars of Hercules come into sight you will know that your journey is almost over – but your love of freighter cruising is only just beginning !
