Antarctica: the last unaccessible land

Explored by man since only 1820, Antarctica is the most unknown and remote place of the planet. A land where peace and silence reign and that belongs to no one, which says so much about our planet’s history. Tourism is very restricted in this last frosty Eden, but the Compagnie Du Ponant offers an eleven day cruise, an unforgettable visit to one of the last places left untouched by humanity.
Nature in all its splendour

You will board on the company’s finest ship, the Boreal, at Ushuaia port and sail strait off to Sir Francis Drake’s mythical passage, the renown Drake Passage. Along the way, you will meet new friends such as orcas, cormorants, seals and even whales. These new companions will take you all the way up to the magnificent White Continent. Here, mountains, snow, ice and nature make up the picture of a breathtaking unique landscape. Zodiac excursions will bring you in close contact with the surrounding nature. You will also visit places such as Deception Island,  one of the largest colonies of Chinstrap penguins; and sail through the Weddell sea with its impressive cliffs. A thrilling experience on one of todays' most luxurious ships.
