Grace and Power: The new Grand Banks 50 Eastbay
Grand Banks is proud to announce its latest addition to the famous “Down East” series: the 50 Eastbay, graced with totally new fluid lines and a dynamic profile, while retaining its wonderful, updated technical capacities.
New Grace
The new luxury yacht “Eastbay” comes in two superb and innovating structural versions: either “Flybridge” or “Saloon Express”. The open “Flybridge” offers twin captain chairs surrounded the huge panoramic helm window allowing maximum visibility and facing the IPS controls. It comes with an L-shaped dinette, storage lockers and a retractable sunshade over the cockpit. Several layout options are available: the standard one features two staterooms plus a mezzanine or a half-down galley close to the main living quarters, and graced with a lot of air and sun. The second option comes with three large cabins instead of the staterooms, and allows space for a galley aft to starboard on main deck, thus making it easier for service when entertaining or dining outdoor.
New Power
The 50 “Eastbay” is geared by the new Volvo Penta IPS pod drive propulsion, taking the yacht up to a 35 knots speed and allowing for a better fuel economy. The new precision joystick makes steering easier, all the more as the yacht retains the exceptional, world-acclaimed hull design by Hunt Associates. A hydraulic swimstep makes the launching and storage of the tender much more convenient, and the cockpit pantograph door allows a quick access in and out to the side deck and foredeck when docking. The cockpit can also be expanded into a spectacular space when reunited with the living area thanks to a 6-panel sliding door. Power and grace, often seen as unreconcilable, make in the new 50 “Eastbay” a wonderful match
