Last but not least: here comes the Mini IPad

Last to enter the heavily crowded market for the 7” tablets, the Apple Mini IPad is already taking a large chunk off its competitors’ shares and even its own Retina 4 IPad sales. Let’s have a look on this sensational success.

But it sells like hot potatoes!!!

It hasn’t got a Retina screen. It doesn’t propose any fundamental innovation. It’s expensive compared to its ever-present and super equipped competitors, such as Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire HD. But 6 million pieces have already sold. And it’s still going, as this Mini IPad has become one of Apple star products. Steve Jobs used to say in 2010: “The 7” tablets are hybrid, too large to compete with a Smartphone and too small to compete with an IPad”. He had it wrong! For there is a real market for them, driven by some wonderful marketing campaigns which make you believe you absolutely need one. Or at least, you would really enjoy having one!

Nothing lost on the wheel of Fortune.

What’s the secret behind such a success? A battery of advantages: its weight, 308 grams, half the IPad’s, its screen of 7.9”, specially designed to fit your handbag or inner pockets, a long-lasting battery, a performing operating system,  275,000 applications dedicated to the IPad, which may make you forgive the lack of a mini USB port. It’s all IPad: comfort, speed, competitiveness. But despite all those meticulously planned commercial events, you may wonder if the company will keep its innovative and daring spirit forever? If Apple wants to stay an inspiring myth, it will have to find a second breath to keep its adorers alive!
