Exactly seven years ago, Van Cleef & Arpels was celebrating its very first Century and gave birth to an all new collection: Pierres de Caractère, a tribute to gem stones’ beauty. Today, the High Jewelery company is launching an exclusive chapter of this tribute: Pierres de Caractère - Variations.
For the love of a gem
At Van Cleef & Arpels, everything is about feeling, about the emotion catching you when you look at a pure diamond for the first time. Claude Arpels said once: «Each gem stone has its own soul». It is all around the world that the Van Cleef and Arpels families were travelling, seeking for unique stones which would complete an exclusive piece of jewelry. We still can remember, back in 1923, the «Prince Edward of York Diamond», a more than 60 carats peer-shaped diamond from Africa, which was then made into a pendant.
It was only natural to the Jewelry House to renew this exclusive gems tradition by including to its new collection some extremely rare stones. The result is outstanding: each piece is of a rare elegance, the assortment of colours is suprising ; every single jewel invites you to dream, a dream of travel and exceptional exepriences.
