The Oris RAID 2013 Limited Edition: Jaguar inspiration
Since 2009, Oris has been the official timekeeper for the RAID Suisse-Paris. This year, to celebrate its 23rd edition, the Swiss brand created a limited-edition watch: the ORIS RAID 2013 Limited Edition which design was inspired by last year’s race winning car: the iconic 1967 Jaguar 420.
Iconic car, iconic watch?
At its time, the Jaguar 420 was known to be one of the most powerfull and luxurious cars in the market. Its dashboard definitely was unique and that actually is the part Oris designers took their inspiration from. They also included some of the car’s emblematic elements, such as the red triangle and signature number font.
The watch also features a black leather strap, a screwed case back with special engraving and a sapphire top glass. The ORIS RAID 2013 Limited Edition is limited to just 500 pieces and presented in a luxury wooden box.
