It's raining roses on the Statue of Liberty
The information went all around the world: last June 6, one million roses have fallen on the Statue of Liberty to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the D-Day. Thanks to "The French Will Never Forget" association, thousands of people came to the island to admire this unique event. A beautiful and intensely moving moment that brought together several generations...
The incredible bet!
Thousands of kilometers aways from French Coast, on Liberty Island, the friendship between France and the USA was at the peak of its power. 170 kids from Franco-American schools were waving their countries giant flags to honor the 13 veterans present, all over 90 years old, to prove that the French will never forget the help of the USA during the liberation.
It was then necessary to mark the occasion by creating a spectacular event: three helicopters throwing million of roses petals on the Statue of Liberty accompanied by New Yorker firefighter and their huge jets of Blue-White-Red water. Not to forget the U.S Navy who fired 21 gunshots to pay tribute to citizens who died. A crazy but emotional bet that will be forever memorable... You can watch the video and behind-the-scenes below!
