Successful gamble!

After some low sales and a change of directorship, Lotus and its whole workforce based at Hethel, Worcester, Wellingborough and North Norwich are happy to celebrate the 1000th Lotus Exige S as well as the best half-year sales figures for the company since 2009. It must be noted that the launch of the Exige S in 2012 has been a real success, critically acclaimed for its performance especially in Japan where most of the cars have been sold followed by UK, Switzerland, Australia, Hong Kong and Belgium.

The next step

Actually, this 1000th Exige S is not to be sold as it's destined for the Test and Development team of the brand. In fact, this new model owns the automatic gearbox that will be optional on either coupé or Roadster variants. In his speech, CEO Jean-Marc Gales admitted that he was really proud of the brand's significant step, the UK manufacture experience and the demand growth in new markets. As a result, Lotus is ready to face the rise of growth in the Middle-East, China and ASEAN countries.
