Comité Colbert: French luxury ambassadors

At the heart of luxuriant Château de Versailles, the "Comité Colbert" celebrated its 60th anniversary. Since 1954, this visionary group of entrepreneurs has conferred on France's "art de vivre" its patent of nobility. From Louis Vuitton to Chanel passing trough Le Meurice, Baccarat, Lacoste and La Maison du chocolat; its 78 members are determined to carry on in influencing the world with their French expertise!

To mark the occasion, Colbert luxury houses decided to join forces to create and publish for free "Dreaming 2074: A utopia created by French Luxury": some kind of book gathering essays and music in order to give you their vision of a bright future. And we let you imagine how interesting it could be to discover what French Luxury would look like in 60 years... Craft celebration


The reunion has also been the occasion for the chairmen of Colbert houses to honor eight talented artisans. These last ones all received the insignia of "The Ordre des Arts et des Lettres", a decoration awarded by the French Ministry of Culture. And the winners are...:

- Jeffrey Brett Leatham: Artistic Director and Floral stylist for George V Hotel
- Christophe Michalak: pastry chef at the Plaza Athénée Hotel
- Josefa Maria Pedralva: designer at Jeanne Lanvin
- Eric Leroux: leather goods and malletier manufacturer for Louis Vuitton
- Colette Petremant: pastry chef and director of operations at Pierre Hermé Macarons et Chocolats
- Pierrette Trichet: cellar master at Cognac Rémy Martin
- Xavier Zimmermann: glassmaker master at Saint-Louis
- Vincent Garnichey: director of leather workshop at S.T.Dupont
