A legendary five-star hotel
The Sofitel London St James is located in a listed building of 11 000m2, previously welcoming Cox's & King's bank's headquarters, integral part of the Crown of England's patrimony. Its perfect location, between the most prestigious places in London and the most famous traditional English clubs, but also between West End theaters and fancy shops from Jermyn Street and Bond Street, makes it the perfect stop for leisure customers. The decoration is both contemporary and neo-classical, designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon from France, the service is perfect and the Spa is paradisiac as said by Condé Nast Johansens Excellence Award in the Best Spa of United-Kingdom and Ireland category.
A lovely bar and restaurant
Restaurant Le BalconSince its re-opening, the bar and restaurant of Sofitel London St James has seduced the whole hotel's clientele and beyond it, thanks to its high-quality and architecture. On the gastronomy side, the Chef is Matthew Greewood. After some great experiences in several London gastronomic restaurants (Blixen, Smokehouse, Caravan, Kopapa and Providores), he's now sharing a French gastronomy, mixed with the best of fusion cuisine: "Yuzu Salmon with Wakame Salad and Tobbikko", "Foie Gras with Membrillo, spicy nuts and gingerbread". Delicious.
A timeless design
The Charcuterie BarOn the decoration side, this timeless space has been created in partnership with Russell Sage Studios, revealing a wild range of spaces, from the Brasserie to the Bar. Special mention for the St James Bar, directly inspired by Coco Chanel's Paris appartement from the 20's, providing some vintage cocktails, Champagne and British sparkling alcohols. Irresistible.
Some cozy rooms
The Royal SuiteThe hotel offers 183 rooms including 10 Junior suites, 7 Prestige suites and one Royal Suite designed by Christophe Daudré, benefiting from a great view on Waterloo Place. Decorated with mahogany furniture, their lobby and bathrooms are set originally. They are also equipped with High Technology televisions and safety-deposit boxes. A particular care has been accorded to the details that make the difference: ironing board, tea and coffee machins... It's now your turn to book a room or win our quizz!
