The Hotel de Rome's name comes from the old palace, constructed by Adolf Mühling, which was formerly in this location. The monument had its moments of glory until it was demolished in 1910 and replaced by a building which housed the head office of the Dresdner Bank.
The hotel features 146 rooms including 36 suites, spread over 6 floors and decorated in a contemporary Prussian style. The mixture of glass and steel is in perfect harmony with the buildings' architecture.
