It is exactly the kind of address you want to keep secret, just for yourself. Closer to a country house than a traditionnal hotel, Cazaudehore La Forestière offers 30 sweet rooms in a discrete and warm setting, perfect to relax. A family house now taken by the grandson Philippe.
At the beginning, this pretty house was just a taproom for travellers or horsemen, which was bought by the grandfather, gassed from the war. For his health, his doctor advised him to taste the happiness of the country. It was then Saint Germain en Laye and Cazaudehore!
Discovering the century age-long forest and the secret corners of the amazing garden, (a whole hectare please) or tasting the gastronomy of the house, a stay at Philippe Cazaudehore is always an euphoria moment. All year-long, our host organises theme parties. This is how ended the season Jazzaudehore and its apetizer-dinners swing until the end of the night. Only one regret: that it did not last any longer...
Escapade in the forest
A turn on the menu has to be. The Menu Forestière (rethought 5 times in a year), influenced by South West food is a delghtful festival. Between the Tartare de daurade grise et copeaux de saumon fumé, crème acidulée à la ciboulette, the Filet d'agneau poêlé aux amandes, grosses ravioles de marjolaine et fondue de sucrine au jus or the Croustillant chocolat patate douce, glace au gingembre et sauce perle du Japon, the taste buds are in heaven. Les Wine lovers will have the choice among more than 60.000 bottles.
And for a reasonnable price (70 €) for a complete menu: starter-course-cheese-afters-wine-coffee. It would be a shame not to have a rest in one of the decorated rooms, for a sweet escape. Unique and beautiful setting, it will cost you 30 nights to have the pleasure of testing each of them. A pretty parisian summer is coming...
