The genius Leonardo Da Vinci continues to pulse through the manufacturer Schaffhouse. After the Da Vinci perpetual calendar created in 1985, IWC are going further by creating a new generation of innovative watches. The three new members of the Da Vinci family pay tribute to the spirit of Leonardo.
The Da Vinci chronograph: a watch to be watched
The hours and the minutes are all clearly shown on a revolutionary counter. Creativity and quality engineering are combined in the elegant tonneau-shaped case. Behind the generously dimensioned display circle, there is a second watch which makes the time measurable and available at the push of a button. Short duration time measurements are indicated by the hands in the centre of the face. A complex mechanism, thought up by the famous master watch-maker Kurt Klaus, 488 years after the death of Leonardo Da Vinci. This limited series of 500 offers 68 hours of autonomy, a highly precise self winding movement, and winding up on a double click. And to accentuate the soft lines, the case is available in white or rose gold, stainless steel and platinum.

This maxim has definitely become Kurt Klaus' motto! It was Klaus, who 20 years ago, started to simplify the marvellous invention of the perpetual calendar. And the Da Vinci watch range has paid tribute to him by creating a limited edition Kurt Klaus series. What are its characteristics? The chronograph perpetual calendar with self wind mechanism is fitted into a 43mm tonneau-shaped case. 500 models exist in pink gold, 50 models in platinum and 50 models in white gold. The day of the week, the month, the year and the phase of the lunar cycle are displayed on the bottom right of the face. You will never be lost for time ever again.

Elegant with its tonneau base of only 35mm in diameter, the most feminine of all the Da Vincis has nothing to envy to its more complicated counterparts. Time is passing in three hands only. The date is shown on the right, in a large display.
The cases are beautifully set off by crocodile-skin straps whilst the clasp is made in a matching metal finish.
