When Montblanc devotes itself to Girl Power!

Montblanc celebrated its bicentennial last year by paying a glowing and flashy tribute to women. A "Tribute to women" materialized in some thousands of diamonds and millions of dollars, which makes it easy to guess the focus of the starred label in years to come...
The century will be feminine or not at all!

If the iconic "Meisterstück" remains an eternal symbol of power which is, at the same time, masculine, elitist, but also literary- its initial vocation after all-, Montblanc has for some years now taken a very clear-cut change in direction towards female gentry. Precious gems, leather goods, eye-glasses and jewelry outrank writing instruments, broadening the House's array of expertise and at the same time securing its future. To celebrate its centennial at the end of 2007, in Shanghai, in an ephemeral theater, the Montblanc Opera House which was especially created for this event, the jeweler chose to present, in an international exclusivity, his latest creation: "Tribute to Women". An homage to women greatly reinforced by an excess of rare diamonds. It is not every day that we are one hundred years old...!

Because women deserve it!

Hilary Swank, Elle McPherson, Kristin Scott Thomas and Daryl Hannah: they were all there to celebrate the Montblancanniversary set. 3 050 briolette-cut diamonds (i.e. a total weight of 378.74 carats) accompanied by a rare Montblanc 12-carat diamond (color D and IF purity) for the necklace, 196 briolette diamonds (i.e. 22.19 carats) including two Montblanc of 1.10 and 1.12 carats for the earrings, all this is to say that the House saw big... The whole package reaches the pretty sum of US $190 000. Who could ask for more?
