La Bastide de Saint Tropez, home away from home
A charming residence
This hotel of charme, more like a private residence with 26 rooms, saw the light of day thanks to its owners, Mr. and Mrs. Sidoroff, who fell in love with Saint Tropez, back in 1986.
Entering this residence complex, composed of several prestigious, Provence-style guesthouses called a ‘mas’, the visitor immediately gets a feeling of intimacy as he sets foot into the reception area.
This particular one, with a high ceiling, comes with a magnificent, one-hundred year old ceiling structure and a very beautiful, stone staircase with a full mezzanine.
The man behind the positive atmosphere here is director Fabien Delaffon, who reserves a warm, friendly welcome to all of the guests. His staff of 20 is also well-versed in the art of refined hospitality, with simplicity and genuine friendliness.
The first mas with its human-dimension
As soon as you enter the reception, you come across this first, three-room mas, with a small library whose fireplace starts crackling as soon as the first raindrops fall, and several steps later, a magnificent veranda with a rather outmoded charm, but very romantic, overlooks an indoor garden full of olive trees, lemon trees, fig trees, mimosas, jasmine, cypress… Here guests can sample the delicious Mediterranean cuisine.
The rooms are surrounded by an abundance of vegetation
In this establishment, three small traditional Provence-style houses in pink ochre, offer rooms and suites that are secluded and laid out around the swimming pool. Each room, proudly displays the special décor of the Provence, one more beautiful than the other. The rooms are decorated with lush fabrics, chimneys for some, art objects and Provence-style furniture for others. But all have this special feature of coming with balconies or open up onto a small private terrace concealing garden furniture and a Jacuzzi.
Here you relish in the joy of waking up and opening your shutters to look out over this nature and to take your breakfast on your private terrace.
Charm and the art of cultivating idleness
This residence, a far cry from a traditional atmosphere, has a distinctive appeal with its maze of nooks and crannies, the perfect setting for playing hide-n-seek in its staircase and palm trees under the spell of rare fragrances.
From one traditional Provence-style house to the other, the breeze is blowing gently, rocking the palms of the banana trees, making the sails waiver, refreshing the rooms made to ‘recharge batteries’. The Provence has a special flair, all its own. Long live our holidays!
Get off quickly at Saint Tropez, with a limousine at your disposal, that will pick you up at your convenience, a real luxury here. At the end of the afternoon, after a tiring day, call on Brigitte, the massage specialist who will come directly to your room.
These original massages, done with expert force, are a true moment of relaxation and not only include a facial massage but also a foot massage, a solar plexus, of your body and scalp, but also a mask to give guests full relaxation. Morphée is not that far.
At the Bastide, you take time to enjoy life and wake up gently. A beautiful way to let travellers know, happiness prevails here.
