Les Andéols, a luxury destination in Provence

This is Alain Ducasse’s fifth ‘auberge’ or inn in Europe. This most-Michelin starred Chef in the world was completely captivated by the Domaine des Andéols. Joining forces with Olivier and Patrizia Massart, who originally opened this fantastic hotel, transformations have been made and today this is an auberge where elegant decor is on par with refined cuisine.

An extraordinary place

Several years have gone by since its creation. The Domaine des Andéols is still leading today as the ultra chic and most glamorous address in Luberon. An out-of-this-world hotel and quasi out-of-time, where celebrities, tired of the hectic pace in Saint-Tropez come to relax, away from the indiscreet eyes and cameras of paparazzi.
The setting is exceptional. Imagine, a complex nestled at the bottom of the valley, a stone’s throw from the village of Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt, with some ten residences, surrounded by about fifteen hectares of vineyards, olive trees and hills covered with cork oak. A unique place, somewhere between a luxury hotel and a private residence or villa. The rustic elegance of dry-stone houses characteristic of this part of Provence, blends in well with the refined lines of a collection of contemporary furniture and art artefacts handpicked by the owners.

Creator of events and atmosphere

Olivier Massart is not your run-of-the-mill person either. A former photographer and globe- trotter, the owner of an events agency, Olivier Massart has made a fine reputation for himself in fashion by putting on major fashion shows for John Galliano, Jean-Paul Gaultier or Paco Rabanne. By turning his native home into a site dedicated to artists, to promote creativity and memorable encounters, Olivier Massart has realized his dream: to welcome, with his wife Patrizia, people who share a passion for exceptional atmospheres as well as contemporary art.

Welcome : Alain Ducasse

Rapidly a success with high-profile customers, the Domaine des Andéols only needed a bit of a boost to be listed as a prestigious addresses. The Alain Ducasse Group embarked on this adventure with Olivier and Patrizia Massart, to give new momentum to what is known today as an Alain Ducasse Auberge.

A journey into the heart of the savours of the Provence

TheDomaine des Andéols has thus joined the prestigious chain of Châteaux & Hôtels Collection presided over by Alain Ducasse. In the kitchen, we findChef Albert Boronat, a former student of Ducasse at bar & bœuf and at Louis XV of Monaco, then at the Spoon des Neiges in Gstaad, Albert Boronat has created a journey into the very heart of the savours of the Provence. In harmony with the beauty and the spirit of this place, the cuisine is an ode to the joy of life and generosity, perfumes and warmth.

Nine houses for a real get-away

Each of the nine houses of Andéols is an invitation to travel. A journey, where you relax and stay sit, where latitudes are mixed and different cultural expressions are manifest. Concept-builders for such atmospheres and decor, Olivier and Patrizia have, in passing, added discreet glimpses of the works of 20th century artists: Saarinen tulip chairs in the Maison de Toujours, immaculate, ostrich-leather covered walls in the Maison Blanche, a Helmut Newton book and Bertoya red armchairs in the delicious Maison des Amoureux, Starck mirrors and Breuer armchairs in the vast Maison Rouge that are ‘lost in communication’ with the Maison des Terrasses...
The summum of comfort goes to the Maison des Cascades with its private swimming pools which flows into the main swimming pool in the middle of the garden…There’s no denying, this is indeed paradise.
