Christmas enchantment in the old town of Heidelberg
Until 22nd of December the old town of Heidelberg, Germany will glow with Christmas magic. Every day from 11 am to 9 pm the Christmas market will present its Christmas-spirit wares in over 140 stall and Booths, located at six different places in Heidelberg.
In the old town, the Christmas Market is distributed over six squares, each with its own individual character. You will find an immense Christmas pyramid, the Christmas crèche and “Christmas on ice”, a beautiful ice rink for a few rounds of skating beneath the romantic setting of the castle. In addition to the Christmas market, an array of festive events is taking place around the charming chalets of the Christmas market.
Additionally, this year for the first time, from Thursday, December 2nd through Sunday December 5th , the castle garden will be transformed in a Christmas Wonderland featuring artistic craft works, Christmas specialties and musical entertainment. Entrance to this Christmas market is included in the regular castle entry fee of 5 €.
