Discover René Lalique
Everything you have ever wanted to know about the famous jeweller, Lalique, is to be showcased in a museum in the Alsace region of France. More than 550 of his creations inspired by his love of women, flora and fauna are just waiting to be discovered.
‘Create something that has never been seen before’
René Lalique’s innovative approach in jewellery design and use of new materials such as horn, ivory and semi-precious stones set him aside from the crowd and highlight the inspiration he draws from the female form and nature.
The world of Lalique
An enormous chandelier created by the jeweller in 1951 for a Paris exhibition and weighing 1700 kg greets visitors to the museum.
And if that’s not enough, the museum’s display of artisan jewellery, decanters, lamps, vases and designs, will enable you to immerse yourself in the life and work of René Lalique and his successors…
