A work of art

Symbol of classicism all over the world, the piano just found itself a second life in the skilled hands of two french artisans. A subtle mix between tradition and audacity gives this instrument a brand new shape, thus creating the Haute Couture Piano.

A singular encounter

Devoted to music since he was a young child, Serge Delbouis found in piano restoration a lifetime vocation. He spends up to 300 hundred hours on a single piano. A unique meticulous approach giving him the deserved recognition within the profession and prizes such as the Regional Prize for Artistic Craftsmanship. His childhood friend, Philippe Marchandot, also grew up in a musical environment but quickly fell in love with fabrics, needles and sewing machines. A genuine french upholsterer and interior decorator was born. It is the encounter of these two exceptional men and their passion for beauty that recently gave birth to the Haute Couture Piano.

A unique piece

A brilliant mixture of imagination, intelligence, craftmanship, patience and determination. Only strong superlatives can describe what these two French artisans have done with this super Pleyel piano from 1928. The perfectly restored instrument was covered with the finest JAB fabrics which took over 600 hundred hours of work. This unique piece will be on display in Paris, in the JAB Showroom at the Deco Off fair from the 19th to the 23rd of January.
