The "Ballerina Butterfly" by Cindy Chao & Sarah Jessica Parker
Taiwanese fine jewelry artist Cindy Chao teams up with fashionista and actress Sarah Jessica Parker to create and reveal the 2014 Black Label Masterpiece "Ballerina Butterfly" brooch. Poetic, sophisticated and unique, this high jewelery creation will be auctioned at the end of October by Sotheby's Hong Kong. All the profit from the sale will go directly to the legendary New York City Ballet.

In 2011, Beijing city was hosting the "Black Label Masterpiece" exhibition by Cindy Chao: the perfect occasion for the jewelry designer to meet the famous fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker a.k.a Carrie Bradshaw. This friendship has led to a real work of passion and creation lasting two years in order to create the perfect brooch. Both women are perfectionist and spent hours choosing between several sketches, castings and gem stones. With Cindy's expertise and Sarah's famous sense of fashion and design, the result is the "Ballerina Butterfly" brooch made of both diamonds and gold paying tribute to the delicacy of the ballet universe. Before going back to Hong Kong for the auction at the end of October, the brooch will be presented at the New York City Ballet's Fall Gala on September 23, 2014.
