And the 2015 Green Car Award goes to...
As environmentally friendly initiatives are more and more proudly awarded, the BMW i3 just has been rated as the Green Car of the year 2015 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. A major first for a 100% electric car.
A real success!
One more trophy for the German carmaker who had it right when marketing this all-electric monospace with a very attractive design. The BMW i3 makes off with the winnings competing: the Audi A3 TDI, the Volkswagen Golf, the Honda Fit and the Chevrolet Impala Bi-Fuel. Mission zero-emission and success accomplished!
In fact, since its recent placing on the market in November 2013, 12 000 BMW i3 models has been sold like hot cakes! Some figures far beyond the German carmaker's expectations who, way before the car's launching, had to review its production upwards. A really understandable success! Who would dare to say no to this pretty car and its customizable inside and outside design, even more beneficial to the environmental protection...
As a reminder, the BMW i3benefits from an autonomy between 130 and 160 kilometers thanks to an electric motor of 170 horsepower.
